She howls,
whispers
directs a chorus of aspen,
bends the pines to pray
She is what moves and will move
relentless, enticing
Let go
Here she tears
at the arrogant mountain
She commands the torrents–
the rocks shall fall
She wakens the waters,
time for unrest, go
find your ultimate sea
She scars walls with seeds,
roots reaching as they must
grinding stone to earth
She lights spark to fire
and plays savior
delivering a dark day’s rain
to calm burning fears
The wind will lift you
above all things earth bound
and release
you to the waters, the rocks
the green and growing
and the roots that bind them all
to inherent destruction
She has offered her story
for millions of years
Hear it once
and be saved
a note:
I usually hold on to these a while
but this one insisted, let go
